SAP GEBU Transformation CE Lead
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead communications and engagement for Global EY SAP. This role is designed around two core priorities: leading transformative programs that shape the Global EY SAP identity, narrative, and engagement model; and establishing the BAU communications function and operating model during a transition year. This is a strategic leadership role that also requires strong execution judgment, the ability to work across a complex global matrix, and close partnership with senior stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities
Transformative programs
- Lead the communications and engagement strategy for transformative Global EY SAP programs, including identity, internal activation, and other strategic initiatives that help define and evolve the Global EY SAP story across the organization.
- Shape clear, compelling narrative frameworks, messaging, and internal toolkits that translate strategy, business priorities, and transformation activity into practical communications leaders and teams can use.
- Set the standard for how Global EY SAP engages internally across channels and communities, including leadership forums, community platforms, and high-engagement channels such as Viva Engage.
- Drive internal activation of Global EY SAP priorities across regions, service lines, and stakeholder groups, ensuring messages are coordinated, actionable, and consistently cascaded.
- Provide communications support to senior stakeholders and leadership forums, including leadership alignment sessions, talking points, presentations, and leadership-ready content that supports decision-making and alignment.
- Support major transformation moments, releases, and business milestones with communications plans, reusable assets, and engagement approaches that reinforce one coherent Global EY SAP narrative.
BAU transition and communications oversight
- Establish the BAU communications function and operating model for Global EY SAP, including the cadence, channels, governance, ownership model, and handoffs needed to support sustainable ongoing communications.
- Lead a transition-year approach in which core communications begin with a higher-touch model and then evolve into a more optimized and scalable BAU model over time.
- Oversee the transition of recurring communications activity into BAU, including all-hands forums, newsletters, updates, practitioner communications, and related engagement rhythms, while maintaining message quality, consistency, and relevance.
- Provide strategic oversight for webcasts, update calls, and other recurring communications forums so they are planned, governed, and optimized effectively, with appropriate support models in place rather than being managed in an unnecessarily high-touch way long term.
- Build practical communications governance, review cycles, and planning discipline that enable smoother delivery, clearer ownership, and more efficient execution as the function matures.
- Use feedback, engagement signals, and business input to refine the BAU model, optimize channel use, and continuously improve the effectiveness of ongoing communications and engagement.
Stakeholder, community, and matrix leadership
- Help align a complex stakeholder landscape across regions, service lines, and business leaders, building support for key priorities and ensuring a joined-up approach across the EY matrix.
- Establish, nurture, and activate a strong practitioner community across Global EY SAP, creating opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and clearer connection to strategic priorities.
- Work effectively across EY's global matrix and within the Global Alliances and Growth & Innovation BMC team to ensure cohesive messaging, strong partnership, and coordinated delivery.
Skills
- Ability to balance strategic communications leadership with practical execution and operating model design.
- Strong experience shaping narratives, engagement strategies, and activation approaches for complex global transformation programs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to work effectively with senior leaders across a matrix organization.
- Strong judgment on channel strategy, audience engagement, and communications operating models, including when to use high-touch versus scalable approaches.
- Ability to translate complex business priorities into clear, concise, and practical communications for different internal audiences.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
- A collaborative, self-starting approach and the confidence to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Solid EY business acumen, including understanding of EY's All in strategy, alliances, and the role Global EY SAP plays in supporting growth and transformation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in communications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications or related field
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to articulate complex subject matter in a straightforward, concise and easily digestible manner for broad audiences
- Confidence in presenting complex or nuanced ideas, anticipating potential objections, interpreting responses to present alternative solutions and influence others
- Excellent project management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills – ability to identify and coordinate resources where applicable; detail oriented
- Poise to professionally interact with all levels of leadership
