SAP Functional Consultant (FICO) 100% Remote

Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in the EST Time Zone)
Duration: 6+ Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with strong expertise in SAP FICO and core financial processes. This role will focus on analyzing business requirements, developing functional specifications, configuring SAP modules, and supporting testing activities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills who can work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and development teams to deliver scalable SAP solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement within SAP Finance solutions.
• Gather and refine business requirements from stakeholders and Solution Architects.
• Create and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
• Configure and test SAP modules to align with business and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with developers to design, validate, and implement functional solutions.
• Perform system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing support.
• Review data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process enhancements.
• Provide functional expertise and support across financial business processes.
• Ensure solution quality, documentation accuracy, and adherence to best practices.

Requirements

• Strong experience as an SAP Functional Consultant with expertise in SAP FICO.
• Hands-on configuration and testing experience within SAP Finance modules.
• Experience with:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Project Systems (PS)
• Ability to translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
• Experience creating BRDs, FSDs, and supporting solution design activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting SAP enhancements, integrations, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance environments.
• Previous experience working closely with Solution Architects and development teams.
