SAP Finance Functional Consultant - SAP FICO @ 100% REMOTE || C2C // W2

Location: 100% remote (candidates must be in the EST time zone). Duration: 12+ months. Work authorization: any.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant to support configuration, testing, requirements analysis, and process improvements within SAP Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong SAP FICO experience, particularly across GL, AR, AP, and PS, and be comfortable working with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Configure and test SAP FICO modules based on business requirements.
• Work across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Project Systems (PS).
• Analyze business processes and data to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Translate functional requirements into practical SAP solutions.
• Develop and maintain Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
• Work closely with developers to explain requirements and support technical implementation.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, validation, and solution refinement.
• Communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience as an SAP FICO Functional Consultant.
• Experience configuring and testing SAP FICO.
• Strong knowledge of GL, AR, and AP; experience with PS is preferred.
• Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements.
• Ability to create FSDs and BRDs from high-level requirements.
• Experience working with developers in a functional/technical environment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Retail experience is a plus.
