SAP Financial Analyst

Location: NYC (hybrid – minimum three days per week in office). W2 contract role; no future sponsorship offered.

Pay

$36–38/hr (W2).

Schedule

6-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Assist with forecasting and reporting subscriber revenue, including budgets, long-range plans, and monthly pacing.
• Consolidate headcount-related financials for monthly pacings, estimates, budgets, long-range planning, and ad hoc requests.
• Lead the monthly close process: book journal entries, reconcile data, and collaborate with controllership and general ledger management.
• Track and communicate detailed variance analysis and key financial drivers.
• Maintain and enhance complex revenue models in partnership with Distribution and Decision Sciences teams.
• Analyze risks and opportunities related to subscriber revenue.
• Contribute to free cash flow planning and analysis alongside the Corporate FP&A team.
• Participate in system implementations and process improvements across News, Sports, and Entertainment finance teams.
• Support ad hoc strategic and financial projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, operational finance, or accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis; Power Query a plus).
• Proficiency in PowerPoint.

Desired Skills

• Prior experience in media, streaming, or direct-to-consumer businesses.
• Familiarity with SAP, BW, BPC, or similar financial systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with cross-functional collaboration ability.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, adaptive environment with evolving roles and processes.
