SAP FICO Consultant

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Onsite) • Full‑Time

Key Responsibilities

• SAP FICO Module Configuration: Lead design, configuration, and implementation of SAP FI and CO modules, including chart of accounts, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, Activity‑Based Costing, Product Costing, and integration with MM, SD, PP, and HR.
• Analyze and resolve end‑to‑end scenarios for Make‑to‑Stock (MTS), Make‑to‑Order (MTO) and Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO); configure Result Analysis, WIP variance, settlement, Completed Contract Method, and Percentage of Completion method.
• Lead AI‑driven automations such as cash application, predictive accounting, and intercompany reconciliation.
• Financial Close and Reporting: Execute month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities; design and implement standard and custom financial reports (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, Segment Reporting, etc.); implement consolidation and intercompany reconciliation; ensure compliance with IFRS or GAAP.
• Project Management and Stakeholder Management: Lead end‑to‑end SAP FICO implementation projects (requirements gathering, blueprinting, design, testing, Go‑Live); coordinate cross‑functional teams; mentor junior consultants; define milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
• System Integration and Data Migration: Integrate SAP FICO with banks, third‑party financial applications, and legacy systems; oversee data migration, reconciliation, and validation.
• Continuous Improvement and Optimization: Identify process improvements, propose optimizations, provide post‑Go‑Live support, stay current with SAP best practices and industry trends.
• Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Prepare comprehensive configuration and process documentation; conduct end‑user training and knowledge handover.
• Financial Controlling and Budgeting: Configure internal orders, costing sheets, profitability analysis (CO‑PA), cost center accounting; support budgeting and forecasting; align financial data with business projections.
• SAP FICO Enhancements and Support: Resolve production tickets, troubleshoot complex issues, implement S/4HANA enhancements or migration initiatives.
• Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, internal controls; assist audit activities; implement Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) controls.
• Controlling: Manage profit center accounting, cost center accounting, COPA, COPA‑to‑PCA reconciliation, record types in COPA; proficient in MTO, ETO, MTS scenarios; handle month‑end, quarter‑end, year‑end closing and annual costing process.

Qualifications

• 10–18 years of experience in SAP FI/CO consulting.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA or ECC implementation and support.
• Deep expertise in configuration of FI (GL, AP, AR, AA, BA) and CO (CCA, IO, PCA, ABC, PC) modules.
• Proven track record delivering full‑life‑cycle SAP FICO projects.
• Strong knowledge of integration points with MM, SD, PP, HR.
• Experience with MTS, MTO, ETO processes and related costing methods.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven financial automation tools.
• Advanced Excel skills (HLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and ability to create reports in Power BI.
• Understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and SOX compliance requirements.
• Excellent project management, stakeholder communication, and team leadership abilities.
