About the role
This position centers on supporting SAP S/4HANA initiatives, with a focus on the Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. The Business Analyst will gather requirements, identify gaps, document business requirements, and support testing and training efforts within the Accounting and Finance function. The role serves as a key liaison between business and IT, ensuring project processes and gaps are identified, documented, developed, and tested.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to document business requirements and design processes.
- Act as a trusted advisor by presenting SAP S/4HANA solution options for key business challenges and assessing the impact of proposed changes.
- Communicate confidently with business users and management to align on priorities.
- Work across multiple business units within an evolving service provider environment.
- Create documentation that supports training and change management activities.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in accounting and finance, along with SAP FI and CO.
- At least 2 full life cycle SAP implementations and 6+ years of industry and/or consulting experience in SAP FICO.
- Strong functional analyst background in SAP FI/CO, with in-depth knowledge of SAP GL, AP, AR, CCA, PCA, Fixed Assets, Treasury, and Cash Management.
- Experience with S/4HANA Accounting and Finance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to write clear business requirements documents.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and coordinate communications with business units.
- Experience serving as a trusted advisor, presenting SAP solution alternatives and evaluating the business and system impact of proposed changes.
- Experience defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing business solutions under multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple activities, adapting to competing demands and shifting priorities.
- Strong tracking, coordination, and project planning skills.
- Ability to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
