SAP FICO Analyst - Oil and Gas
Location: Remote (must reside in Central time zone). Travel: Approximately once a month to Oklahoma City. Duration: 12 months.
About the role
The IT Finance Systems team is seeking two experienced SAP FICO Functional Analysts to support several major initiatives, including an SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration, SAP ECC configuration for new international business operations, and ongoing support across Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Audit. This role will work closely with business and IT teams to translate business requirements into SAP solutions, lead functional configuration, troubleshoot complex cross-module processes, and support ongoing SAP transformation initiatives.
Candidates must bring significant hands-on SAP FICO experience within the upstream Oil & Gas industry, particularly with Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) and Production and Revenue Accounting (PRA).
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on functional support and configuration across SAP FI/CO.
- Support SAP ECC and the ongoing transition to SAP S/4HANA.
- Configure and support Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) and Production and Revenue Accounting (PRA).
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex SAP finance and cross-module processes.
- Translate Finance and Accounting business requirements into SAP functional solutions.
- Support SAP configuration for new international business operations.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, and IT stakeholders.
- Assist with testing, issue resolution, documentation, and implementation activities.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of hands-on SAP functional experience, with a strong focus on FI/CO.
- Significant experience specifically within the upstream Oil & Gas industry.
- Deep hands-on experience with SAP Joint Venture Accounting (JVA).
- Deep hands-on experience with SAP Production and Revenue Accounting (PRA).
- Experience supporting and configuring SAP ECC environments.
- Strong understanding of upstream Oil & Gas finance and accounting processes.
- Experience troubleshooting complex integrations and cross-module SAP workflows.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
