Job Summary

The Analyst, Portfolio Management is responsible for supporting the Portfolio Management team in financial analysis and preparation of underwriting documents for corporate credit requests. This role involves gathering and analyzing financial data, modeling future performance, preparing credit underwriting documents, and participating in the approval process. The Analyst is expected to maintain a moderate risk profile and demonstrate emerging leadership skills.

Essential Functions

  • Gather and analyze relevant financial data for clients or prospects, including spreading financial statements and supporting the identification of risks and mitigants.
  • Prepare credit underwriting documents, identifying credit risks and mitigants, industry concerns, market share trends, and financial trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and participate in the approval process for lending commitments, amendments, waivers, and consents.
  • Support PM teammates with the review and maintenance of legal documentation, including credit agreements, guarantees, security pledges, and collateral documentation.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of financial performance and covenant compliance, supporting risk rating changes and data integrity in Key's systems.
  • Identify potential credit concerns and escalate to the PM deal team as appropriate.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and research on issuers and borrowers across various sectors, collaborating with team members and accessing on-site resources.
  • Attend management presentations, bank meetings, and site visits as appropriate to monitor business conditions and creditworthiness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including attending training sessions and workshops.

  • Competent with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively utilize other technology applications.
  • Ability to gather relevant research, analyze data, and synthesize information to draw conclusions and produce insights.
  • Foundational understanding of banking and investment banking products and services.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, economics, and/or business (required).
  • Experience in financial and/or borrower analysis (required).
  • Experience preparing credit write-ups and/or capital markets analysis (preferred).
  • Experience in oil and gas industry (preferred).
