About the role
The SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant – Level I provides functional support for SAP EWM capabilities that enable warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes. This role supports day-to-day sustainment activities, assists with configuration, and helps resolve functional issues within the SAP EWM environment. The consultant works under the guidance of senior team members to ensure stable system operations and support continuous improvement of warehouse processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with configuration and sustainment of SAP EWM processes including inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse operations.
- Support incident management, service requests, and defect resolution related to SAP EWM.
- Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
- Assist in testing, validation, and deployment of system changes and enhancements.
- Support warehouse execution processes including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse structures such as storage types, bins, and work centers.
- Support RF framework usage and warehouse task execution.
- Work with warehouse personnel to ensure system functionality aligns with operational needs.
- Assist in gathering and documenting functional requirements from warehouse and logistics teams.
- Support development of functional specifications and system documentation.
- Participate in user acceptance testing and assist in validating system changes.
- Help maintain process documentation and user guides.
- Coordinate with SAP TM, MM, SD, and other modules to support integrated supply chain processes.
- Work with Basis, integration, and development teams to support issue resolution and system improvements.
- Assist in monitoring system performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Support daily sustainment operations within the SAP EWM environment.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Provide functional support and guidance to end users as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of SAP functional experience or relevant warehouse/logistics system support.
- Familiarity with SAP EWM or warehouse management systems.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in production or sustainment environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting SAP EWM or other SAP logistics modules such as TM, MM, or SD.
- Familiarity with RF devices and warehouse automation tools.
- Experience in warehouse or distribution center operations.
- Experience supporting government, defense, or highly regulated operational environments.
- Active or ability to obtain a security clearance.
Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $64,730.12–$95,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
