SAP Developer

Position requires the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech. US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Own how data is sent and received
• Support proof of concepts, ensuring proposed code changes are both feasible and sustainable while minimizing technical debt in all designs
• Support and execute software development scoping and sizing activities for identified RICEWF requirements
• Review functional and technical specifications for quality, programmability, and scalability
• Work with middleware to optimally interface multiple systems using the best technical approach
• Collaborate with other Plan-To-Stock (PTS) IT developers on complex design decisions, product evaluations, or technical obstacles
• Collaborate with partner technology teams to accomplish goals

Qualifications

• Proven SAP design and development experience in SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA systems, including S/4HANA embedded analytics and reporting using CDS analytical views, annotations, and KPI/query exposure
• Technical expertise in MS/DM and BRF+ for rules-driven decisions, validations, and workflow logic
• Experience with Fiori Elements annotations and metadata extensions (not just custom UI5)
• Background processing: jobs, application logs, error handling, and reprocessing frameworks
• Master data governance and replication concepts, especially BP/customer/vendor/material-related data
• Knowledge in Network, Sales Order, Complex Assembly, and PIR
• Experience with large-scale implementations
• Experience with ABAP Development and SAP design and development
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead collaborative work

  • Authorization concepts: CDS DCL, SU24/PFCG integration, authorization checks in ABAP/RAP
  • Debugging and performance: SAT/ST05, SQL Monitor, ATC, runtime analysis, CDS performance tuning
  • Transport and change management: ChaRM/SolMan, retrofit awareness, release sequencing
  • Testing skills: ABAP Unit, test doubles, OData testing, regression support

  • Exposure to SAP tools/skills: Fiori Launchpad and Fiori Elements, SAPUI5, JavaScript, GIT, WebIDE/Client, and other SAP technologies
  • Experience with integrations using SOAP via SOA Manager, OData, IDOCs, and Proxys
