Position Title: SAP Basis Admin Duration: 6+ months with high possibilities of extension Remote Pay Rate: $45/hr on W2 Job Description What are must-have skills for this role? SAP BASIS Administration Unix Shell Scripting SAP Java Stack Administration. We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator with strong expertise in SAP Java Stack administration and support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, upgrade, migration, administration, monitoring, and optimization of SAP Java-based products and enterprise SAP landscapes. The candidate should possess strong SAP Basis administration skills, SAP HANA administration experience, Azure cloud knowledge, high-availability configurations, and excellent troubleshooting capabilities in enterprise-scale environments. Key Responsibilities SAP Java Stack Administration Install, configure, upgrade, migrate, and maintain SAP Java-based systems and applications. Administer and support SAP products including:SAP Process Orchestration (PO/PI)SAP NetWeaver JavaSAP Identity ManagementSAP Landscape Virtualization Manager (LVM) Perform SAP Java kernel upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities. Troubleshoot Java stack performance, connectivity, deployment, and application server issues. Configure and manage Java server instances, clusters, and related components. SAP Java Development Support Support deployment and lifecycle management of Java-based SAP applications. Collaborate with development teams for Java application deployments and code promotion activities. Support integration and configuration of Java-based SAP solutions. SAP Basis Administration Manage SAP landscapes, transport, client copies, system refreshes, and environment maintenance. Perform system monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning activities. Execute SAP upgrades, migrations, and system copies. Ensure adherence to operational standards, compliance requirements, and service levels. SAP HANA & Database Administration Administer SAP HANA databases by performing installation, upgrades, backup and recovery, performance monitoring and tuning, and SAP HANA Cockpit administration to ensure optimal system availability and performance. Support Oracle database in SAP environments. Monitor database availability, performance, and system health. SAP Solution Manager Administration Configure and maintain SAP Solution Manager capabilities including Change Request Management (ChaRM), IT Service Management (ITSM), EarlyWatch Alerts (EWA), Technical Monitoring, and System Monitoring with proactive alert management to ensure system stability and operational excellence. Generate and analyze health reports and performance dashboards. Azure Cloud Administration Support SAP systems deployed on Microsoft Azure. Monitor and optimize SAP workloads in Azure environments. Participate in cloud migration, upgrade, and modernization initiatives. Work with infrastructure teams to ensure reliability, security, and scalability. Incident Management & Support Perform root cause analysis for production issues. Troubleshoot SAP Basis, Java Stack, database, and infrastructure-related incidents. Participate in on-call, weekend, and maintenance support activities. Work collaboratively within a global support organization. Required Qualifications Education Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or a related field. Experience 8+ years of SAP Basis Administration experience. Strong hands-on experience with SAP Java Stack administration and support. Experience with SAP PO/PI, Solution Manager, GRC, Identity Management, and other Java-based SAP products. Strong knowledge of SSL/TLS configuration and certificate management, SNC and SSO Experience with SAP HANA administration and HANA Cockpit. Experience with Oracle or any other SQL administration. Experience supporting SAP environments hosted on Microsoft Azure. Experience implementing high-availability and clustering solutions. Nice-to-Have Skills SAP ABAP Stack administration experience. SAP S/4HANA Basis administration. SAP Business Technology Platform and CPI Scripting and automation experience (Shell, PowerShell, Python). DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code knowledge. SAP Security and Single Sign-On (SSO) experience. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent troubleshooting capabilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
