SAP ABAP Developer

About the role

This role is remote and requires working within the PST time zone.

Responsibilities

• Develop ABAP applications in SAP ECC & S/4 HANA
• Work with ABAP on HANA, AMDP, code push down techniques, CDS views, Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF) and backend oData services
• Develop applications in FI/CO or MM modules
• Work with Core Data Services (CDS) Views, including consumption and composite views
• Integrate SAP systems with external applications via REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, SAP CPI, and BTP Cockpit Cloud Studio
• Develop SAP Fiori applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• Leverage standard enhancements framework – User exists, Business Transaction Events (BTE), Business Add Ins (BADI), Enhancement Spots (Implicit & Explicit)
• Work with SOAP and REST based services, and API design
• Develop SAP forms using SAP-Script, Smart-forms and Adobe Forms
• Develop custom controls (ALV/Tree/Image), OLE embedding, etc., for module pool programming
• Develop EDI IDOC applications, configure distribution models, activate change pointers, and develop ABAP proxies
• Develop reports using ALV, drill down, and interactive features using ALV events
• Implement object-oriented programming techniques in application development
• Optimize code, perform performance tuning, and conduct runtime analysis

Requirements

• At least 12+ years of experience in ABAP development in SAP ECC & S/4 HANA
• Good experience in ABAP on HANA, AMDP, code push down techniques, CDS views, Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF) and backend oData services
• Expertise in Core Data Services (CDS) Views, including consumption and composite views
• Extensive experience in integrating SAP systems with external applications via REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, SAP CPI, and BTP Cockpit Cloud Studio
• Good experience of SAP Fiori applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• Expertise in enhancing standard SAP functionality leveraging standard enhancements framework – User exists, Business Transaction Events (BTE), Business Add Ins (BADI), Enhancement Spots (Implicit & Explicit)
• Expertise in SOAP and REST based services, and API design
• Form Development experience in SAP-Script, Smart-forms and Adobe Forms
• Module pool programming experience using custom controls (ALV/Tree/Image), OLE embedding, etc.,
• Experience in EDI IDOC developments, Distribution model configuration, change pointers activation and ABAP proxies
• Experience in report programming using ALV, drill down and interactive using ALV events
• Experience in developing applications using object-oriented programming techniques
• Experience in code optimization, performance tuning, and runtime analysis
