Essential Job Functions

• Wash and sanitize all equipment and floors in the plant for inspection.
• Disassemble equipment and prepare for sanitation process.
• Don all appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Utilize high pressure hoses to clean and disinfect buildings and equipment (i.e., hatcher rooms, hatcher trays, hatcher racks, egg flats, hatching machines, set hall, and tray washroom).
• Scrub equipment with scrub pads to ensure complete cleaning.
• Help maintain and improve quality and food safety to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Able to stand for long periods of time (8+hrs) on concrete/metal grate ergo stands or on the floor.
• Able to climb tall ladders and catwalks.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Able to work with sanitation chemicals.
• Able to repeatedly lift 30 pounds.
• Able to bend, stoop, and reach above head.
• Able to operate disinfectant equipment as well as tray washer.
• Able to work in a wet environment with temperature ranges.
• Must adhere to disease control policies.

Additional Functions

• Tray the correct eggs according to the set sheet.
• Properly load and unload eggs and/or chicks.
• Transfer and service as needed.

Pay

The pay rate is $18.46 per hour. An additional $1.00 per hour is provided for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm, and an additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am.
