Sanitation Worker

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, washing, wiping, hosing down, using compressed air, vacuuming, and laundry.
• Follow set sanitation procedures, schedules, and document accordingly.
• Fill in for other sanitation personnel due to vacations, absences, etc.
• Assist in production when requested by supervisor.
• Be a member of the Blood-Borne Pathogen team.
• Read instructions and follow all safety procedures/MSDS sheets when working with cleaning chemicals.
• Clean sinks throughout the facility.
• Collect and dump garbage from restrooms and offices.
• Restock soap and paper towel dispensers.
• Perform weekly cleaning of wash pits.
• Conduct weekly inspection of rodent traps.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the kitchen and dispose of trash.
• Keep storage shelves and stockrooms clean, organized, and ensure items are properly stored and rotated when deliveries are made.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to read and follow directions.
• Able to follow departmental policies and procedures.
