Sanitation Technician - Kansas, IL

About the role

Ensure all trucks and trailers are washed in a timely manner in accordance with all biosecurity procedures and guidelines. The position involves working in wet conditions while bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and climbing in and out of trailers repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Proper cleaning and disinfecting of livestock trailers
• Cleaning of pits and wash bays
• Washing of clothes and towels
• Communicate effectively with the Truck Wash Supervisor and other Wash and dry bay Staff
• Follow all wash Standard Operating Procedures
• Perform light duty maintenance as needed
• Inform Truck Wash Supervisor of equipment issues
• Suggest, plan, and implement Standard Operating Procedures
• Assist in providing a safe work environment
• Provide feedback to Truck Wash Supervisor
• Assist Truck Wash Supervisor in ordering supplies to maintain appropriate inventory
• Care and maintenance of equipment

Requirements

• Minimum lifting ability of 50 lbs
• Dependable and able to learn new tasks
• Able to follow directions and work with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail

Pay

$22.00 per hour

Schedule

Full time - Daytime hours with occasional overtime.
