Primary Responsibilities
- Provide clear direction in the Wash Down Rooms.
- Identify equipment and electrical needs to be covered.
- Use and provide the proper color-coded tools to perform tasks.
- Report food safety and quality issues to authorized personnel.
- Know how to clean equipment, disassemble and clean it (especially in food contact areas) to prevent mold and bacteria buildup.
- Apply correct chemical dilution ratios to clean (training in chemical safety is preferred but will provide training).
- Have knowledge of the Master Sanitation Schedule and sign off on required documentation.
- Absorb all sanitation materials, tools, and chemicals back into their proper place or dispose of them after completing the area.
- Report to work on time and be available for overtime and weekends as needed.
- Cover for other Sanitation Technicians when needed.
- Conduct regular sanitation duties, including custodial tasks, as directed by the Sanitation Department Lead.
Qualifications
- Ability to cross-train.
- Ability to accurately log and record sanitation activities.
- Janitorial and sanitation knowledge.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and email).
Physical/Environmental Requirements
- Standing on a concrete floor.
- Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
- Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, standing for extended periods, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
