Sanitation Technician- 3rd Shift
Shift: 10:00 PM-6:00 AM. Hourly rate: $23.45/hour plus $0.75 shift differential. Schedule includes weekend work (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and one 8-hour weekday shift, totaling a 4-day work week. Weekend shifts consist of three 12-hour overnight shifts; additional shifts may be added based on business needs.
About the role
Reporting to the Sanitation Team Leader, you will support sanitation and basic janitorial operations at our Louisville, Kentucky facility. You will work onsite in a manufacturing environment to ensure equipment, production areas, and facility spaces are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained to meet safety, quality, and food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, sanitation, and basic janitorial duties across production areas, offices, and common spaces
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, floors, walls, and facility surfaces
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed for proper cleaning
- Follow sanitation procedures, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Properly use cleaning chemicals, tools, and personal protective equipment
- Remove waste, dispose of materials correctly, and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility
- Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards
- Document sanitation activities and report any issues to leadership
- Support production teams by ensuring equipment and areas are ready for operation
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in sanitation, janitorial, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation processes and food safety standards preferred
- Mechanical aptitude to disassemble and reassemble equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime
- Commitment to following all safety and sanitation procedures
Physical Requirements
In a manufacturing environment, noise levels can be high and temperatures may vary. Physical requirements include:
- Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders, or kneeling for extended periods
- Performing consistent repetitive tasks
- Frequently lifting, pushing, or carrying materials
