Reports to the Sanitation Team Leader

Reporting Duties

  • Support sanitation and basic janitorial operations
  • Work onsite in a manufacturing environment
  • Ensure equipment, production areas, and facility spaces are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained to meet safety, quality, and food safety standards

Work Schedule

  • 4-day work week
  • Weekend work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • Three 12-hour shifts per weekend, starting between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
  • One additional 12-hour shift during the week
  • Additional shifts may be added, and existing shifts may be adjusted based on business needs
  • Accommodates frequent holiday work

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning, sanitation, and basic janitorial duties across production areas, offices, and common spaces
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment, floors, walls, and facility surfaces
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed for proper cleaning
  • Follow sanitation procedures, safety guidelines such as Lock Out Tag Out, and regulatory standards
  • Properly use cleaning chemicals, tools, and personal protective equipment
  • Remove waste, dispose of materials correctly, and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility
  • Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards
  • Document sanitation activities and report any issues to leadership
  • Support production teams by ensuring equipment and areas are ready for operation
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in sanitation, janitorial, or manufacturing environments preferred
  • Knowledge of sanitation processes and food safety standards preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude to disassemble and reassemble equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime
  • Commitment to following all safety and sanitation procedures

Physical Requirements

  • Being on your feet, walking around the facility
  • Climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time
  • Frequent lifting, pushing or carrying materials
