Responsibilities
- Assist with cleaning circuits, set up, and perform pipe swings
- At Fairport facility:
- Check to ensure proper chlorine levels at coolers
- Perform cream tank receiving, maintenance, and cleaning
- Maintain chemical equipment and deliver chemicals as requested
- Clean drains, traps, and caps per cleaning schedule and as required
- Perform standardized cleaning procedures with caustic and other cleaning chemicals and assist with changeover of parts
- Inspect all areas to ensure AIB standards are met and notify management of any concerns unable to be resolved
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
- Complete MSS as assigned for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in Redzone
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- LO/TO, HAACP, HECP, and chemical training required
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses, and leather skid-resistant work shoes/boots)
- Ability to wear additional PPE while participating in a CIP, not limited to: chemical suits, boots, and face shield
- Previous experience working with chemicals preferred but not required
- Ability to apply computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning
Working Conditions
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to:
- Long periods of standing/moving
- Working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors
- Loud environment, hot/cold, wet/dry conditions
- Lifting/carrying
- Frequent reaching/pulling/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending
