Sanitation Tech (CIP) - 12-hour Nights (6PM - 6AM) Blue Nights

Responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning circuits, set up, and perform pipe swings
• At Fairport facility:
  • Check to ensure proper chlorine levels at coolers
  • Perform cream tank receiving, maintenance, and cleaning
  • Maintain chemical equipment and deliver chemicals as requested
  • Clean drains, traps, and caps per cleaning schedule and as required
  • Perform standardized cleaning procedures with caustic and other cleaning chemicals and assist with changeover of parts
  • Inspect all areas to ensure AIB standards are met and notify management of any concerns unable to be resolved
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
• Complete MSS as assigned for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in Redzone

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• LO/TO, HAACP, HECP, and chemical training required
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses, and leather skid-resistant work shoes/boots)
• Ability to wear additional PPE while participating in a CIP, not limited to: chemical suits, boots, and face shield
• Previous experience working with chemicals preferred but not required
• Ability to apply computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning

Working Conditions

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to:
  • Long periods of standing/moving
  • Working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors
  • Loud environment, hot/cold, wet/dry conditions
  • Lifting/carrying
  • Frequent reaching/pulling/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending
