Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize equipment, production lines, floors, walls, and other facility areas according to the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
- Follow safety, quality, and food safety procedures including GMPs, SSOPs, and HACCP.
- Participate in pre-operational inspections and environmental swabbing as directed.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and wear appropriate PPE.
- Maintain accurate sanitation records and complete checklists as required.
- Report sanitation issues to supervisors and assist in resolving them.
- Ensure proper storage and use of sanitation supplies and chemicals.
- Work as part of a team to promote a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in sanitation or cleaning preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends if needed.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in hot, cold, wet, or noisy environments as required.
- Use PPE (gloves, goggles, masks, etc.) when handling chemicals or cleaning equipment.
