Sanitation Team Member, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Distribution Center

About the role

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Full Time Sanitation Team Member for our Distribution Center in Cheshire, CT. The Sanitation Team is responsible for keeping the Perishable Distribution Center in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. This Perishable Distribution Center handles Floral, Meat, and Produce products. Temperatures range from –10°F (Freezer) to 46°F, including a banana and avocado ripening room.

Responsibilities

• Clean warehouse with hand brooms, electric powered scrubbers, and sweepers to meet company standards.
• Keep track of cleaning supplies and replenish as needed.
• Notify the Team Member responsible for purchasing supplies of any impending shortages before supplies are exhausted.
• Remove and properly dispose of all refuse, recycle, cardboard, and broken pallets.
• Clean offices (including dusting), break room (including microwaves, refrigerators, and tables), conference room,
