SANITATION WORKER (8:00am-4:00pm)

About the role

Lifeway Foods, a leading producer of probiotic beverages, seeks a Sanitation Worker to join its team. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in production areas, facilities, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety precautions to use chemical and electrical equipment
• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, windows, ceiling, equipment, supplies, and production parts
• Properly, accurately, and timely complete all sanitation documentation
• Incorporate special or rotational cleaning duties into daily schedules
• Operate gas, air, and electrical equipment, such as floor scrubbers, power washers, foamers, foggers, etc.
• Work with basic hand and electrical tools
• Flexibility in scheduled cleaning events due to production demands
• Ability to work with variety of chemicals and personal protective gear (PPE)
• Able to clean specific pieces of equipment and run CIP for pasteurization equipment
• Empty wastebaskets and transport them to disposal area
• Understand and accept to carry out production quality, food safety, and chemical awareness
• Conduct behavior in compliance with Lifeway Employee Policy
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or three to six months related experience or equivalent
• Demonstrate intellectual and interpersonal skills through leadership, organization, and self-efficacy
• Read and write comprehensive reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Basic mathematical skills and understanding of algebra and geometry
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Software, Inventory Software, and Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to be on your feet for entirety of 8-hour shift
• Ability to climb ladders and maneuver through equipment
