Sanitation Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for a Sanitation Team Leader to help maintain a safe, clean, and food-safe manufacturing environment in Newton, WI (just outside of Manitowoc). In this role, you’ll lead sanitation operations, support food safety initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with sanitation, pest control, and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily sanitation team activities and priorities.
• Manage the facility's sanitation and pest control programs.
• Maintain sanitation records and the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Support food safety, GMP, HACCP, customer, and third-party audit activities.
• Investigate sanitation, pest control, and facility-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead sanitation, food safety, and safety training initiatives.
• Drive safety programs, inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Manage sanitation tools, chemicals, equipment, and inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous leadership or team lead experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation, food safety, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.
