We are hiring a Sanitation Supervisor for the 3rd shift at our Florence, KY pizza facility.

About the role

This position provides leadership and technical expertise to the sanitation team, ensuring effective and efficient cleaning and sanitizing of the manufacturing facility and equipment. The role requires a continuous improvement mindset to meet customer, regulatory, and company expectations in food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervise all activities for cleaning and sanitizing infrastructure and equipment (production & packaging equipment, tools, carts/forklifts/mobile units, etc.) within and around the facility, adhering to the master sanitation schedule.
  • Ensure teams execute cleaning and sanitizing to defined standards, verified through methods such as visual inspection, ATP, APC testing, ELISA testing, and finished product coliform monitoring, while meeting metrics like % pass and % compliance.
  • Lead compliance with all applicable regulations (USDA, FDA), customer requirements, and quality management systems (GMPs, SSOP, HACCP).
  • Coordinate with operational stakeholders (operations, engineering, maintenance, PI&D) to schedule cleaning and sanitation work efficiently within agreed timeframes.
  • Monitor and report sanitation performance to key stakeholders, including verification of guidelines, cost execution, personnel usage, and compliance.
  • Maintain and update documentation (procedures, master sanitation, standard work, verification records) to meet customer, 3rd party, and regulatory audit requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training for employees on personal safety, HACCP, GMPs, food regulations, and sanitation programs, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Manage chemical usage, inventory, and tracking to ensure safe and compliant use of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, adhering to OSHA, food regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Supervise, train, and develop subordinates as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of chemicals used in the sanitation process.
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, government regulations, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to compile information and develop/maintain routine reports and correspondence.
  • Comfortable in small and large group settings.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills for both basic and complex issues.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and basic food regulatory requirements.
  • Proven people management and delegation skills; ability to develop positive relationships and work cross-functionally.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $60,000–$99,000 annually, with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus based on organizational performance. Starting salary may vary within the range based on experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
