Sanitation Superintendent

About the role

The Sanitation Supervisor at High Liner Foods is responsible for managing all aspects of the facility sanitation program, ensuring compliance with company and departmental goals, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the facility sanitation program, including maintenance of the master sanitation schedule, ensuring tasks are executed safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Audit readiness: Ensure the facility is prepared for audits every day.
• Chemical supplier management: Handle relationships with chemical suppliers, manage budgets, and identify and address deficiencies.
• Team leadership: Assign tasks, set schedules, and monitor progress to meet KPIs.
• Continuous improvement: Lead kaizen projects, implement changes, and analyze performance data to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in food safety and sanitation in a food environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or above preferred, but not required.
• HACCP & 3rd party audit certification.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Reliability, decisiveness, good judgment, assertiveness, flexibility, persistence, and patience.
• Knowledge of food sanitation requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and resolve conflicts positively.
• Flexibility to support the business.

Qualifications
