About the Role
The Food & Nutrition Sanitation worker is a competent employee responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the Food & Nutrition Department. This role involves adhering to specific competencies, performance goals, and objectives established annually.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize systems and processes to ensure patient safety, infection control practices, department security, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Maintain and adhere to Food & Nutrition uniform and personal appearance standards at all times.
- Report all hazards and unsafe work conditions.
- Utilize proper processes to achieve patient, customer, and physician satisfaction goals.
- Report customer complaints to the appropriate supervisor.
- Foster a culture of commitment to the HCA vision, mission, and values of the organization.
- Participate in team and individual employee training.
- Participate in training with other members of the Food Service department staff to further develop and advance within the industry.
- Utilize cost control processes to meet goals and reduce waste.
- Follow all timekeeping standards: time clock procedures, meal breaks, and timely clocking.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent (Required).
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare (Preferred).
