About the Role

The Food & Nutrition Sanitation worker is a competent employee responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the Food & Nutrition Department. This role involves adhering to specific competencies, performance goals, and objectives established annually.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize systems and processes to ensure patient safety, infection control practices, department security, and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintain and adhere to Food & Nutrition uniform and personal appearance standards at all times.
  • Report all hazards and unsafe work conditions.
  • Utilize proper processes to achieve patient, customer, and physician satisfaction goals.
  • Report customer complaints to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Foster a culture of commitment to the HCA vision, mission, and values of the organization.
  • Participate in team and individual employee training.
  • Participate in training with other members of the Food Service department staff to further develop and advance within the industry.
  • Utilize cost control processes to meet goals and reduce waste.
  • Follow all timekeeping standards: time clock procedures, meal breaks, and timely clocking.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent (Required).
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare (Preferred).
