SANITATION OPERATOR I

About the role

Sanitation Operators ensure that all equipment is clean, sanitized, and ready to produce crave-able delicious donuts and baked goods at the Blue Ash Bakery Fresh Innovation Center.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks outlined in the master, daily, and weekly sanitation schedule or as assigned by the QA/sanitation supervisor or lead.
• Perform all duties following company safety procedures and guidelines with a focus on zero injuries.
• Utilize, store, and measure all chemicals while wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Follow all Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Assess areas after cleaning to ensure sanitation is complete and inspect each other’s work for completeness.
• Partake in and complete the chemical training program.
• Scrape, wash, and sanitize mixers, ovens, sheeter line, coolers, production lines, trays, wire baskets, racks, floor equipment, drains, and trash disposal.
• Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Work as a member of a team in wet conditions and confined spaces.
• Stand, bend, kneel, reach, climb ladders, and lift 50+ pounds as required.
• Work a rotational schedule including weekends and most holidays.
• Operate battery-powered floor scrubbers.
• Adhere to all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).
• Work with limited supervision while performing a variety of sanitation and production tasks.

Requirements

• Familiarity with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety, and sanitation (e.g., HACCP, AIB, SQF).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Previous experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment (preferred but not required).
• Read, write, and communicate in English.
• Punctual and willing to work overtime when needed.

Schedule

Full-time, rotational schedule including weekends and most holidays.
