Accountabilities
- Directs / executes plant cleaning and sanitation programs and practices.
- Develops and administers necessary programs and systems that ensure operability and cleanliness while driving a culture of peer to peer accountability for Safety, Quality, Costs, and Customer Satisfaction.
- Serves as the principal liaison with the current WDI Sanitation / Chemical and Pest Management contractor.
- Oversees maintenance of sanitation, ancillary, and production support equipment.
- Develops and administers necessary programs and systems that ensure operability and cleanliness.
- Develops and institutionalizes Master Sanitation Schedules, SOPs and Standard work for Sanitation and Set Up processes.
- In conjunction with Document Control, assures that only the most current and approved versions of these control documents are available to those responsible for cleaning, sanitation and set-up duties.
- Oversees relevant chemical, sanitation and pest management training for the plant.
- Ensures sanitary compliance with all HACCP, PMO, and SQF guidelines and policies.
- In conjunction with Hygienist, investigates product and environmental out-of-limits situations, documents these investigations and implements sustainable corrective actions as required using established change management practices.
- Executes labor planning and scheduling that supports business needs, which includes operational, financial and employee interests.
- Supports and maintains a continuous improvement (CI) culture across assigned work teams; serves as a leader of change across the function.
- Actively seeks opportunities to optimize performance and identifies opportunities for improved efficiencies.
- Maintains an engaged workforce by effectively coaching training and motivating team members.
- Utilizes various techniques and tools that focus on building capability, promoting teamwork and emphasizing communication.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Food Science, or Engineering preferred. May be substituted for with demonstrated experience with food or nutritional products sanitation, cleaning or manufacturing, and/or quality programs required.
- Experience: Five (5) years demonstrated experience in a in a medical product, food or nutritional product manufacturing setting Previous experience in an FDA / USDA regulated industry. Previous experience in a leadership capacity
Pay
The base pay range for this position is $94,500 to $132,300 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This pay range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
