Sanitation Manager

About the role

Sanitation Manager position located in the Hackensack, NJ area.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the sanitation crew on all shifts.
• Analyzes problem sanitation areas, researches and resolves any sanitation issues.
• Maintains sanitation programs to maintain SQF certification each year with third‑party quality audits.
• Coordinates the purchase of cleaning products, PPE, parts for sanitation equipment, and all sanitation supplies.
• Ensures plant compliance with sanitation and safety programs: recordkeeping, SSOP’s (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures), MSS’s (Master Sanitation Schedules), and chemical safety.
• Works with production, maintenance, and other departments to assure that food products meet appropriate sanitation and food safety requirements.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of SQF, BRC, FDA, USDA, OSHA, and MSDS.
• Experience keeping areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition to ensure food safety, quality, and continuous production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).

Skills

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay

Salary range: $85,000 – $105,000.

Schedule

Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday.
