Sanitation Lead I - 1st Shift

1st shift: 7:30AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday. Weekend work may be required.

About the Role

Follows procedures and SSOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety, hygiene, and food safety. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor/manager of progress and/or other non-routine issues.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedures in the cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment
• Completes activities and verification for cleans and programs including MSS, PEM, and Non-PEM
• Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered
• Familiarity and understanding of testing for chemical concentrations
• Familiarity with chemicals and their purpose and uses
• Familiarity with COP and CIP systems
• Aerial lift operation

Requirements

• Must have industrial food sanitation experience
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• At least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred
• Supervisory skills are desired
• Microsoft Office skills
• Must be capable of being productive on third-shift scheduling
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly
• Spanish is a plus

Physical Demands

• Must be capable of ascending or descending stairs in multi-level facilities
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid
• Temperature may vary from refrigerated environment, ambient, or warm depending on the facility and season
