About the Role

Lead team members to identify, manage, and execute the plant’s process improvement opportunities. Manage sanitation staff to attain production and quality goals. Identify problems in sanitized processes and resolve issues. Ensure sanitize resources including materials and equipment are available as needed to maintain production schedules. Support continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, costs, and customer service. Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and create an engaged and team-oriented workforce to improve business results.

Responsible for reporting any food safety or quality issues to Supervisor as well as the following specific duties involving food safety and quality:

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and perform cleaning protocols for all assigned equipment in the plant
• Assemble and disassemble assigned equipment in a safe manner
• Safely mix and apply industrial cleaners and sanitizers as instructed and per label directions
• Keep all assigned equipment in working order
• Communicate issues and concerns to the Sanitation Supervisor/Foreperson
• Drive a forklift, genie boom, and scissor lift (training will be provided)
• Work at height using all appropriate PPE
• Certify that all tasks performed pass microbiological tests as required
• Perform line CIP, if designated
• Use the protective gear necessary to perform the above tasks
• Work in all areas of the plant, as assigned by the Sanitation Foreman/Supervisor
• Document cleaning task completion appropriately
• Overtime before and after shift may be required
• Perform other tasks as assigned daily

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Must be able to pass forklift certification, if applicable
• Standing and walking 100%, continual use of both hands
• Bending, lifting 50#, and squatting
• Use high-pressure wash system

Schedule

This is a full-time permanent 3rd shift, which operates from 9:30pm - 5:30am Monday through Friday with some Saturdays/Sundays.
