Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain food and non-food contact surfaces, including floors, drains, walls, windows, offices, restrooms, uniform rooms, the cafeteria, and the warehouse, while ensuring all welfare areas (cafeteria, restrooms, locker rooms, staircases, elevators, etc.) meet hygiene standards and are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations as outlined in the Standard Sanitation Operational Procedures (SSOP).
- Perform cleaning and sanitizing of workstations, trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and general upkeep of designated areas.
- Sort, count, and stack cleaning chemicals and janitorial supplies within the designated storage areas and distribute them as needed.
- Maintain cleaning tools and ensure proper usage and storage.
- Monitor and ensure drains are covered and free of accumulated debris.
- Report any issues related to hygiene, sanitation, or food safety to the manager or hygiene and food safety team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or sanitation roles within a food production facility is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow sanitation guidelines.
- Proactive, self-organized, and able to manage a substantial workload.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Capable of completing assigned tasks within strict deadlines.
- Physical ability to move, lift, carry, pull, or push objects as needed.
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
- Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
