Housekeeping Janitor

Responsibilities

• Maintain all floor and carpet surfaces on the units
• Clean dining rooms after breakfast daily
• Dust mop assigned units, starting with 1st Floor Health Care
• Prepare floors for mopping, removing stubborn dirt, grease, etc.
• Prepare mop water using recommended EPA-approved disinfectant (½ concentration)
• Shampoo carpets in hallways or Provisional Unit as needed for spills or attention
• Empty trash in break rooms and sweep/mop if needed
• Restock Attends storage on each unit
• Check and remove full bio-hazard waste boxes from closets, tape tops, and store in locked Central Supply room for disposal
• Scrub dirty bathroom or shower room floors if time allows
• Perform all related responsibilities as required

• Willingness to perform all assigned tasks with a pleasant attitude
• High standards of cleanliness
• Flexibility in daily work schedule to accommodate residents and increase efficiency

Dress Code

• Department shirt: Yellow with logo
• Blue or black jeans (must be neat, no holes)
• Gym shoes

Pay

$13.75 to $16.50 per hour, based on experience.
