Sanitation Crew - 3rd Shift

About the role

The Janitor will ensure all common areas throughout the facility are clean and maintained to meet the company’s food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all common areas are clean and meet food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in designated areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED;
• Three to nine months related experience and/or training;
• Equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Basic understanding and terminology of a manufacturing environment;
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
• Ability to read routine reports and correspondence and comprehend basic English;
• Ability to interact with all levels of management and apply practical sense to understanding and execution of detailed written and/or oral instructions;
• Ability to resolve and deal with simple to complex problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations within the production processing operation;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with handling of cleaning chemicals and OSHA standards.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds;
• Push/pull;
• Walk/stand for 8 hours;
• Climb stairs;
• Near moving mechanical machinery/equipment;
• With exposure to fumes or airborne particles and vibration;
• In high, precarious places (approximately 30 feet above ground level).
