About the Role
The Food & Nutrition Sanitation worker is a competent employee responsible for cleanliness and organization in the Food & Nutrition Department. This role involves adhering to specific competencies, performance goals, and departmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to HACCP, food safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize systems and processes to ensure patient safety, infection control practices, department security, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Maintain and adhere to Food & Nutrition uniform and personal appearance standards at all times.
- Report all hazards and unsafe work conditions.
- Utilize proper processes to achieve patient, customer, and physician satisfaction goals.
- Report customer complaints to the appropriate supervisor.
- Foster a culture of commitment to the HCA vision, mission, and values.
- Participate in team and individual employee training.
- Participate in training with other Food Service department staff to further develop and advance within the industry.
- Utilize cost control processes to meet goals and reduce waste.
- Follow all timekeeping standards, including time clock procedures, meal breaks, and timely clocking.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent (required).
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare (required).

About the Facility
HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is a 204-bed facility in Palm Beach County offering preventative and elective programs and surgeries. The hospital is an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center and provides:
- Emergency services.
- A dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU.
- A full-service Children’s Hospital.
- Outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology.
The hospital is located on a 94-acre campus in Palm Beach County, near Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, and Loxahatchee. Wellington is known for its parks and quality schools, while Royal Palm Beach and Loxahatchee are recognized for their large acreage parcels, new homes, and equestrian community.
