Sanitation Associate - Anchorage

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping tasks including sweeping floors, cleaning up debris, standing water, and recycling materials.
• Scheduled cleaning of freezer, ripening chambers, restrooms, and lunchrooms.
• Using a forklift to empty garbage and check for pest control issues.
• Completing the daily SQF inspection log.
• Communicating any issues to the QA and Food Safety Officer.
• Maintaining HACCP standards under the guidance of the QA and Food Safety Officer.
• Using cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, sponges, scrubbers, etc.
• Absorbing and assisting in the training of new hires.
• Maintaining accurate records and logs related to food safety.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 70 lbs, 35-50 lbs on average.
• Experience working in a refrigerated environment up to 85% of the time.
• Safe use of industrial grade cleaners.
• Wear latex and rubber gloves as needed.
• Read, write, and speak English adequately.
• One year of previous warehouse or janitorial experience preferred.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in a refrigerated environment at 36°F, and work in freezer environments with below-zero temperatures for up to 30 minutes.

Pay

The pay range for this position is a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors.
