About the role
Ornua is seeking a Sanitation Associate to join the Ornua Family as we continue our growth trajectory. This position plays a key role in maintaining a sanitary environment to ensure a safe and effective start of production and processing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Clean equipment and work areas, including the laboratory, production, and all other areas assigned using chemical cleaning solutions, hand tools, and pressurized sanitation equipment.
- Inspect sanitation work and follow up as appropriate to ensure all operating and sanitation standards have been met.
- Complete all necessary cleaning and workplace sanitation requirements.
- Record production information in a tablet, computer, or by hand.
- Attend all required company training.
- Demonstrate commitment to Safety, Food Safety, and Quality management systems.
- Afford support in inventory of chemicals, cleaning supplies, and parts required.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding equipment issues, food safety issues, quality issues, safety issues, and sanitation processes and procedures that need review.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- One to two years of previous sanitation experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry.

- Ability to calculate and understand basic math and simple formulas including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and averages.

- A high sense of urgency and proactive problem-solving abilities.

Pay
- $22.50 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 4 pm – 12 am (midnight), with potential for overtime.
