About the role

This role is a key position within our manufacturing plants, supporting production team leads to uphold the highest safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The position involves working in multiple refrigerated areas and collaborating with an experienced Sanitarian (Level 2) to ensure proper sanitation of production equipment and areas.

Responsibilities

• Follow all GMP, Food Safety, Food Quality, and Food Security Policies.
• Report any equipment failure to the Sanitation Manager/Supervisor.
• Set up and tear down production equipment as needed for cleaning.
• Use chemicals to clean and sanitize food contact and non-food contact surfaces.
• Inspect all equipment before releasing the line to the Sanitation Manager/Supervisor for inspection.
• Document job tasks performed on sanitation checklists.
• Wear protective equipment and follow all safety procedures (PPEs).
• Use basic cleaning hand tools to ensure proper and safe cleaning of conveyor belts, floors/walls, trash dock, and other facility areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to perform tasks under strict time limits.
