About the role

Under the general supervision of the Sandy Recreation Center Facilities Maintenance Crew Leader, responsible for the daily operational readiness of the facility, ensuring the building is clean, secure, functional, and prepared for public and internal use.

Department: Sandy Recreation Center – Parks & Recreation. Applications will be reviewed beginning October 19, 2026; position open until filled.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility is clean, secure, and ready for public and internal use.
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment such as automatic carpet extractors, wet/dry mop systems, and floor sweepers.
• Properly dilute cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions.
• Use office equipment including telephone, copy machine, computer, computerized scoreboard control panel, and calculator.
• Use specialized equipment related to assigned activities/sports.
• Maintain care, condition, and proper use of materials, equipment, and tools.
