About the role

Under the direct supervision of the Sandy Recreation Center Facilities Maintenance Crew Leader, performs a wide range of custodial and facility support tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and the public.

Department: Sandy Recreation Center – Parks & Recreation

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and facility support tasks.
• Use automated equipment as preferred.
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment including automatic carpet extractor, wet/dry mop systems, and floor sweepers.
• Properly dilute cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer label instructions.
• Work as a team, helping other employees and the public.
• Work independently.
• Recognize unacceptable conditions and correct them with minimal direction.
• Follow directions and complete daily routines as specified.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and safety of employees and visitors.
• Communicate effectively verbally and understand/follow directions.
