Sanctions and Human Rights Research Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform sanctions investigations, including drafting designation packages using authorities held by government clients
• Perform complex intelligence research and analysis
• Draft a sanctions designation evidentiary memorandum
• Adjudicate the sanctions designation clearance process
• Use commercial databases, access corporate and financial records, and perform supply chain and corporate structure mapping
• Conduct assessments, including pertaining to the topics of countering human rights abuse, countering violations of human rights, and corruption
• Cook up with different federal government agencies, including the Intelligence Community

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Active Secret security clearance required, with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• 4+ years of experience in intelligence collection and analysis, or investigations
• 2+ years of experience in human rights policy
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred

• Demonstrated experience coordinating with different federal government agencies, including the Intelligence Community
• Russian, Chinese/Mandarin, Korean, or other critical language skills
• Maritime, shipping, oil, gas, economic, narcotics trafficking, human rights, or regional/foreign policy knowledge or experience

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,900 to $163,100.
