San Marcos 03 (McCarty Ln) True TX BBQ - Front of House Lead - Full time

Responsibilities

• Provides work direction; directly supervises Partners; serves as conduit of communication for management
• Trains Partners on customer service, compliance, food safety, sanitation, equipment operation, etc.
• Works with manager at peak times; performs closing responsibilities when needed; may serve as backup to Manager
• Aids in inventory control and purchasing duties, and in technical areas, as needed
• Performs front of house service duties, as needed

Key Requirements

• 18+
• Experience in restaurant leadership
• Experience in an H-E-B Restaurant (preferred)
• Experience in restaurant Point of Sale (POS) systems (preferred)
• Basic culinary knowledge
• Understanding of nutrition values and ingredients (preferred)
• Expert communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Strong reading, writing, and math skills
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, internet)
• Organization and planning skills
• Ability to lead a restaurant function, and other Partners
• Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve problems effectively
• Ability to maintain a smile, even when balancing multiple priorities

Qualifications

• Licenses/Certifications: Completion of Alcohol Seller Training / Cash Handling training - upon hire
• Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Function in a fast-paced, retail environment; work extended hours and / or rotating schedules; safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts; constantly reach at waist, grasp; frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic materials; frequently stand, walk; occasionally reach at overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, pivot, twist, push / pull with arms, pinch, perform fine motor movements, shoulder circumduction; occasionally be exposed to heat, ambient temperatures, and loud noise; demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs, and manage in excess of 50 lbs
