Sampler Technician Trainee

Responsibilities
- Aid in identifying drill holes requiring sampling from the Drill Pattern.
- Work closely and coordinate schedules with dispatch and/or drilling and blasting teams.
- Obtain representative samples following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure samples are collected from evenly spaced locations within the drill hole, meet minimum weight requirements, and are correctly labeled.
- For identified duplicate sample locations, repeat the sampling process and ensure both the original and duplicate samples are correctly labeled and identified for laboratory staff.
- Transport and deliver all samples to the assay laboratory in a timely manner.
- Transport and deliver samples to the correct location for shipping to the assay laboratory in a timely manner.
- Mark material zones (ore/waste/leach) with flags in the field as required.
- Verify that equipment is functional and operating properly.
- Clean all sampling equipment after each sample has been taken.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- No prior experience is required.
- High School diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience in relevant areas is preferred.
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
- Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of site processes, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications, especially Microsoft Office.
Benefits
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $18.50 - $24.50/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
