Sample Maker

What You Will Do as a Sample Maker

• Constructs sample garments.
• Receives tech packs and identifies trim and findings.
• Cuts and assembles sample quality garments according to specified requirements provided.
• Reviews garments for general appearance and deviations.
• Reports completion of garment to sample coordinator.
• Assists with normal machine maintenance and/or requests additional maintenance from mechanics.

Skills For Success

• High School diploma
• Production sewing experience with an overall understanding of industrial sewing machines
• Extensive knowledge of product development standards
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Interpretation of written specifications
• Good communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees
• A general understanding of available product features offered
• Sewing experience in a variety of styles and constructions
• Adaptable to changes in both internal and external customer demands and expectations
• Physical sewing and cutting responsibilities that require sitting or standing for extended periods of time
