Responsibilities
- Pick, grade, cut, classify and sort samples according to size, color, or other specifications.
- Discard defective sample slabs.
- Process samples by labeling, gluing and/or mortaring to appropriate sample boards.
- Read orders to determine product type needed by customer.
- Package various samples into appropriate containers.
- Determine the appropriate shipping method.
Requirements
- Be able to use the hand strapper and crimper.
- Be computer literate.
- Pass a color eye test.
- Ability to use the brick-cutting machine (will train).
- Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
- Work well with others.
- Forklift experience a plus (License required for the job, will train).
- Willing to train in all areas of the sample department.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 30 lbs. occasionally.
- Able to bend, twist and stoop occasionally.
- Able to work outside in heat and cold.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm. Overtime and Saturday work as needed.
