Sample Control Technician I - Eurofins Environment Testing - El Paso, TX

About the Role

This position is expected to assist and oversee all aspects of shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and logging samples at Eurofins Built Environment Testing in El Paso, TX. The role involves handling a wide range of tests, including asbestos, mold, bacteria, VOCs, allergens, Legionella, radon, lead, silica, and more. Clients include consultants, industry, real estate, healthcare, government, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for processing
• Accept and sign for deliveries
• Assist in unloading shipments from delivery trucks
• Open coolers and inspect contents of shipments
• Check documentation to ensure all samples are accounted for
• Distribute samples to different departments as appropriate
• Follow strict safety and quality control procedures
• Store, restock, and shelve samples as necessary
• Ensure work area is clean and organized
• Enter records in the LIMS system

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking

Schedule

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with the possibility of overtime.

Pay

The salary for this position is $18 / hour.
