Samoan Remote Interpreter

About the role

Certified Languages International (CLI) provides over‑the‑phone interpretation services for a high volume of calls, most of which are medical in nature. CLI serves clients across industries including insurance, financial, utility companies, customer service, and state courts. The position is a freelance (independent contractor) role that is 100% remote, allowing you to set your own schedule and work any time via CLI’s online portal or a landline telephone.

Responsibilities

• Provide over‑the‑phone interpretation for medical, insurance, financial, utility, customer service, and state court calls.
• Log in and out of assignments using CLI’s online portal or a landline telephone.
• Make yourself available to accept calls 24/7 as client demand requires.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States (SSN or EIN and a photo ID).
• Reside in the United States.
• Not reside in California, New Jersey, or New York (CLI is not currently recruiting in those states).
• Complete CLI’s Language Assessment.

Qualifications

• Prior interpreting experience is preferred.

Pay

Payment is made on a per‑minute basis for every minute spent interpreting. Interpreters are paid twice a month, on the 15th and the last day, via direct deposit.

Schedule

Your schedule is self‑set; you can log on and off at any time using the CLI portal or a landline telephone to accommodate the 24/7 service window.
