Salvage Associate

About the role

Responsible for unloading products from trucks, breaking down pallets, and organizing goods within the warehouse. Provides support for sanitation, inventory control, and other warehouse tasks. May operate semi-truck fueling, washing, and cleaning equipment based on the distribution center's needs.

Responsibilities

• Unload and organize products, handle cases, boxes, and pallets of various food and household items.
• Assist with sanitation duties, warehouse cleanliness, and equipment maintenance.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as electric pallet jacks and high-lift machinery.
• Verify received products, check for damages, and assist with order picking, palletizing, and labeling.
• Maintain safety standards, report issues, and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
• Participate in product rotation, move items to dock areas, and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; warehouse experience is a plus.

Skills

• Ability to operate industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Capable of lifting 30-75 lbs., working in multi-temperature areas, and performing physical tasks.
• Strong communication skills, ability to follow instructions, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance, adaptability, and teamwork skills required.

Requirements

• Must frequently stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy loads.
• Exposure to warehouse environment with variable temperatures and noise.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
