About the role
The server is responsible for providing prompt, efficient, and courteous service, displaying salesmanship, and friendly hospitality. This position must exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values: Kindness, Engagement, Empathy, and Positivity (K.E.E.P.).
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly service with smiles, professional verbiage, escorting guests, allowing guests the right of way, pulling out chairs, acknowledging special events, and engaging in other friendly mannerisms.
- Greet guests within 45 seconds and properly place beverage napkins in front of the guest.
- Carry heavy trays and utilize jack-stands efficiently and securely as needed.
- Time the guests’ experience in accordance with current timing guidelines to optimize guest satisfaction.
- Utilize trays to deliver to and clear guests’ tables while following tray delivery procedures, including the “one-hand free rule,” quantity of items on trays, and presentation of items.
- Be knowledgeable of food and beverage menus and plate specifications to ensure proper quality, presentation, and accuracy of orders.
- Maintain the guests’ tabletops “framed,” clear of debris, and supplied with all appropriate necessities for the dining experience.
- Obtain orders and deliver food and beverages in a friendly manner, utilizing position seating.
- Be present throughout the guests’ dining experiences to check on their enjoyment and provide any guest requests.
- Pre-bus tables between dining courses, leaving only glasses and beverage napkins prior to the guests’ departure or before a busser arrives.
- Deliver checks and cash-out guests in a timely manner.
- Continuously engage in teamwork by offering help to fellow employees and managers.
- Ensure the restaurant is sufficiently stocked with rolled silverware and roll silverware as necessary.
- Always thank guests and invite them back.
- Follow directions efficiently and positively, maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor.
- Adhere to all applicable policies and procedures, health, and alcohol laws.
- Maintain uniform and appearance according to established guidelines.
- Communicate with management regarding guest satisfaction, supply needs, employee discounts, or other areas needing attention.
- Maintain all side-work and service areas in an organized, sanitized, and properly stocked manner.
- Turn in all lost and found items to the manager.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement is 21 years old.
- Health and Alcohol cards are required.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant.
- Great people skills, a clean and well-groomed appearance, and respect for everyone.
- Ability to work varied shifts.
- Capable of carrying heavy trays efficiently and securely.
- Thorough knowledge of proper service and etiquette.
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Basic math skills.
Physical Demands
- Ability to move throughout the restaurant (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
- Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
- Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
- Frequently stooping and reaching.
Work Environment
- Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment with occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
- Regular exposure to a smoke-filled environment.
- Work with others in close spaces.
- Moderate to high noise levels.
- Walk/stand on tile, mats, carpet, or cement.

Starting from USD $12.00/Hr. (Tipped Position)
