Salon Co-Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and personable Salon Sales Manager to join our growing team at Zoom Tan. In this role, you will deliver outstanding customer service, promote our brand and services, and achieve sales targets while maintaining a high level of professionalism. This is a long-term, commission-driven position for individuals passionate about the tanning industry and eager to make a meaningful impact on our clients' experiences.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire motivated and enthusiastic employees.
• Train and develop a successful sales team, providing feedback, coaching, and accountability.
• Manage all aspects of daily store operations, including cleanliness and inventory.
• Prepare staffing schedules to meet the needs of the salon.
• Greet clients and provide a warm, welcoming experience.
• Assess clients' skin types and determine appropriate tanning equipment and lotions.
• Explain the tanning process, including proper positioning and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized tanning area, ensuring equipment is in good working order.
• Upsell tanning lotions and other products based on clients' individual needs.
• Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining high professionalism and customer service.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients.
• Maintain accurate records of client information, including tanning history and preferences.
• Open and close the tanning salon on time.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the District Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to reach, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Friendly, outgoing, and effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Team player willing to work collaboratively with other departments.
• Strong leadership qualities and conflict management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and work for long periods of time.

Experience

• Sales experience (1-2 years preferred).
• Customer service experience (1-2 years preferred).
• Prior management experience (preferred).

Pay

$20.00 per hour + uncapped commission and bonuses.
